Production Manager

We are in the process of opening up a new stage in Los Angeles and are looking for a part-time Production Manager starting in April. Though this position will begin as a part-time position, it will have the potential to move to full-time.
This role is highly organizational and will require the candidate to manage multiple projects simultaneously while working calmly under pressure. It will also depend on your ability to communicate with Live Bash stakeholders, staff, and crew. You will work directly with the Live Bash Producers and Director of Production.
Responsibilities for the Production Manager include:
- Sourcing, hiring and scheduling local crew as needed
- Cultivating local vendor relationships
- Developing and maintaining production schedules including rehearsals, load-ins/outs, and performances.
- Arranging production meetings
- Creating call sheets for talent and crew
- Coordinating logistics for shows and clearly communicate needs with all departments
- Managing production budgets and resources efficiently, ensuring high-quality productions within financial constraints.
- Managing the inventory, setup, operation, and maintenance of stage equipment ensuring all elements are in perfect condition for each performance.
- Leading and motivating a diverse team of technical staff and contractors.
- Addressing and resolving any issues that arise during production quickly and effectively.
- Performing general clerical duties to support crew and managers.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role in live show productions.
- Strong technical knowledge of stage equipment, lighting, sound, and video systems.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and leadership skills.
- In-depth knowledge of union and non- union rates and agreements, as well as other aspects of negotiating contracts.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cast, crew, and external partners.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
- A passion for live entertainment and a commitment to excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Theater Production, Stage Management, or related field preferred.
This position will be contracted on a part-time basis, at a rate of $50/hr.
